Background
ENPHO with support of WASH Alliance International (WAI) is implementing WASH SDG program in West Nepal in Surkhet District. One of the activities includes implementing capacity enhancement of local government through establishing water quality test labs in four rural/municipalities. In this context, ENPHO and EcoConcern has signed an agreement that requires EcoConcern to provide technical assistance to ENPHO to establish mini-labs and to capacitate and monitor operational skills of mini-lab operators. Specific responsibilities of EcoConcern includes conducting feasibility study visit for selection of potential individual/entrepreneur for labs, prepare mini-lab equipment and consumables list, conduct technical monitoring visits during lab setup, capacitate mini-lab operators with virtual and lab training on water quality testing (12 different parameters) including sampling technique, testing method, quality control/assurance procedures, reporting system and provide support for quality control and assurance (QA/QC) through testing of duplicate samples from each mini-lab and by providing standard solutions for cross-verification.
