Description Eco Concern Pvt. Ltd. embarked on a noteworthy project on coordination with GIZ-S2HSS by the preparation of Framework for Healthcare Liquid Waste (HCLW) Management that will support Ministry of Health Services (MoHS) to prepare HCLW Guideline. The framework will guide the HCFs to select the appropriate liquid waste treatment technology based on different criteria. Along with this, a detailed sampling guideline was developed that standardize procedure, precautions, and techniques for collecting liquid waste samples of healthcare facilities.
The primary objective of this project was to assess the liquid waste management status of the selected six healthcare facilities of Nepal, whereas the framework provides HCFs a minimum standard for safe and efficient management of HCLW in Nepal in order to minimize the adverse health and environmental consequences.
