Description ACF has been working on access to water in Nepal since 2015. Currently, ACF is working on water networks lcoated in two rural municipalities on the right bank of Upper Trishuli River basin- Kispang RM in Nuwakot and Aamachhodingmo RM in Rasuwa. For thi, ACF is constructing 6 water supply schemes in 6 clusters ( Maane gaun, Purano gaun and Archale in Nuwakot, and Brajam, Pajung and Gatlang in Rasuwa districts). The organization is also looking into options to treat the greywater generated from these clusters. EcoConcern provided consultancy service to ACF for conducting a feasibility study for the construction of Grey Water Treatment Plant.
Objective:
The general objective of the proposed assignment is to conduct a feasibility study for the construction of a Grey Water Treatment Plant in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. The specific objectives are to:
- Conduct on-site assessment on 6 clusters (3 in Nuwakot and 3 in Rasuwa)
- Conduct technical, financial, environmental and social assessments of the greywater treatment systems
- Identify the feasible grey water treatment system in each cluster
