Description EcoConcern is currently undertaking a detailed assessment of the healthcare liquid waste treatment system at Provincial Hospital Surkhet to understand the existing infrastructure, operational performance, and treatment effectiveness. The work involves assessing the current wastewater management practices, estimating and characterizing the volume and quality of wastewater generated from different hospital units, and reviewing the condition and layout of the existing sewer network.
In addition, observations are being carried out at the wastewater treatment plant site to evaluate the suitability of the existing construction and treatment units, including an assessment of system efficiency and the status of sludge accumulation. Based on the findings from the ongoing assessment, recommendations will be developed to improve the existing system and identify any additional treatment components required. The assignment also includes the preparation of a conceptual design, civil general arrangement drawings, and supporting cost estimates and a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to guide future system improvements and implementation.
